Tara & Dylan | Engagement Session in Austin, Texas

Tara recalls with a hint of embarrassment that when she first met Dylan, she was loudly ranting about an ex. They were juniors at Pflugerville High School and Tara used a break from their Calulus studies to vent about her anger! Dylan was not put off though, and an interest was sparked. Dylan noticed how cute Tara was and loved her candidness. Tara was attracted to Dylan’s dashing good looks and his sarcastic sense of humor. At the beginning of senior year, Dylan purposefully plopped himself down in the desk next to Tara in English class, and they started dating immediately after.

The pair headed to Texas Tech together, where they are completing their degrees: Tara in advertising and Dylan in electrical engineering. Lola Savannah, a coffeeshop in Lakeway, became their favorite date spot for these coffee connoisseurs, so we dropped in for some pictures for their engagement session.

During the session, I guided them to pull one another while holding hands, and Tara exclaimed, “Just like when you proposed!” The proposal took place on a hike at Palo Duro Canyon, and they stopped at a gorgeous lookout spot. Tara jumped up suddenly, eager to continue on their hike, but Dylan, with other plans in mind, grabbed her by the backpack and pulled her back to him. He dropped quickly to one knee and was forgiven for the near whiplash experience.
