Carlos met Marissa when she was hired at Wells Fargo to join the bilingual department where Carlos is employed. There was only one problem—Marissa is not bilingual! The couple is not sure how exactly that happened, but they were so thankful to be brought together nevertheless. The couple has a beautiful little girl, Mia, and Marissa currently works as a doula and stay-at-home mom.

On a date night at Mayfield Park in Austin, Carlos surprised Marissa with the Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman, and asked her to be his wife. They planned a sweet elopement in Zilker Park under a tree following a first look session at the Greenbelt. It was so special for them that their daughter could witness their marriage alongside their very closest family members.
