Kelsey, a fourth grade teacher in Round Rock, and Tyler, a student of sports management at the University of Texas, first met during their undergraduate studies at High Point University in North Carolina. Their mutual friends introduced them and, as Kelsey says, “We were friends first, but not for long!!” Tyler convinced Kelsey to take a chance on him before they said goodbye for the summer. Kelsey made the drive from North Carolina to Ohio and found flowers at her home sent there by Tyler to surprise her! They officially began dating and spent the summer traveling together.

One thing you should know about Tyler is that he is an a cappella singer and was actually the president of his group at their university. On April 29, 2015, Tyler invited Kelsey to hear his concert at the school’s theater. During the concert, he stepped forward and began singing “All of Me” by John Legend which happens to be “their song.” In the middle of the song, Tyler walked into the audience, took her hand, and brought her on stage. He then proposed to her! Tyler invited her parents to be there to witness the proposal, and Kelsey was shocked to learn they were up in the balcony.

Kelsey and Tyler’s favorite picture of themselves is a candid that Tyler’s dad took of them at Niagara Falls. They were simply laughing together when the image was taken. Knowing that they love the candid, intimate moments, we tried to capture those in-between moments–moments when Kelsey and Tyler were just naturally enjoying being together.
