Riley first captured Kayla’s attention at in the church parking lot when he stuck his head out his window and hollered at their mutual friend. The mutual friend started plotting to introduce the two of them and arranged for the two to sit together at church, fibbing to Riley that Kayla had asked if they could sit together. Kayla, unaware of these plans, came into church and did not seat herself right next to Riley, but sat close enough that he could see her (because obviously she was interested)! He promptly got up and sat beside her. Thus began a beautiful relationship.
Kayla, a kind-hearted and adventurous nurse, and Riley, a fun-loving basketball coach, were married in a sun-drenched ceremony at Gabriel Springs in Georgetown. Kayla dreamt of shades of lavender. Her wedding gown was custom made using the bodice of her mother’s wedding gown. Sara with Bella by Sara did a stunning job with the floral arch at the head of the ceremony as well as with the beautiful bouquets.
All of Kayla and Riley’s friends and family were so incredibly sweet. It was such a pleasure getting to know Kayla’s mom, Terri, at Kayla’s bridals! I know now where Kayla gets her adventurous spirit and go-with-the-flow attitude. They were both up for hiking through fields and pastures! Kayla’s dad, Mike, had us in tears with his speech. He described the first time he saw Kayla– how she was purple. And he wondered why he had a purple baby! However, shortly after the moment he laid eyes on her, Kayla coughed. He witnessed as his daughter took her first breath of air. Tears!!
