When Katelin decided to make the move to Austin from California, her dad drove her to help with the move. Her dad recalls a moment when they were on the streets of Austin and a guy in a pickup pulled next to them, country music blaring. Katelin looked at the guy in the truck, and then looked at her dad, and said, “That. That’s what I want.”

While Andy actually hales from Michigan, he was the country-at-heart guy she was looking for. The first weekend Katelin was in Austin, she went to the Halloween party of one of her sorority sisters. Her sorority sister also happened to invite Andy, her co-worker from Dell. Andy and Katelin met each other, and upon returning home that night, Katelin promptly friended Andy on Facebook. After a bit of Facebook messaging, and a lot of Facebook photo stalking, the pair finally went on their first date the following December.
Christmas would continue to be a special time for the couple because it was at that time that Andy proposed to Katelin. On Christmas Eve the couple opened their stockings before heading for their dinner date. While opening presents, Andy handed Katelin a card and while she read his loving words, he reaching into the tree, pulled out a ring, and got down on one knee.

Katelin and Andy are both very ambitious in their careers and also decided to buy a home at the very same time as they planned their wedding. Needless to say the pair has been very busy! However, the wedding of their dreams came together at Lone Oak Barn with ZuZu Petals providing the florals. The day began with pouring rain, but the sky opened up and let the sun shine down on this gorgeous gathering.

Katelin and Andy, it has been such an honor to work with you from when I first met you more than a year ago! I am so very, very happy for you both, and I just can’t wait to see what life has in store for you as a married couple!
