Cortney & Amir | Engagement Session in Austin, Texas

Sometimes when you meet someone, the timing is just all wrong. Maybe you were coming off a newly ended long term relationship. Maybe you had future plans, and you did not envision this was the time you would find someone you would want to spend the rest of your life with. However, despite any hesitations, you fall in love, and your future completely changes.

Amir was in physics with and helped tutor one of Cortney’s friends. Cortney recalls clearly when she first met Amir at her friend’s apartment. Cortney’s friend was busy studying with Amir. Their relationship began and they hung out with mutual friends. Cortney and Amir were not at the point where they were actively looking for their future partner, but their chemistry was undeniable. Cortney recalls that as soon as she saw Amir, she felt an immediate connection. Amir noticed Cortney’s stunning blue eyes, and quickly noticed her sweet and loving nature. Their relationship continued to develop, and they soon realized the potential between them.
Cortney, a nursing student, and Amir, on his last year of medical school in Galveston, are extremely busy. Therefore, they treasure any time they have to spend together. They love getting coffee and heading to parks. One of their first dates was at the Houston Zoo.

The Houston Zoo would come to hold even more significance for them because that is where Amir proposed to Cortney. Cortney had a feeling that Amir might propose soon, but had no idea when it would happen. On their trip to the zoo, when he suggested heading to the rose garden, red flags went up everywhere, as she wondered about his newfound interest in roses! Although it was blazing hot, Cortney was moved by the romantic proposal, and Cortney and Amir have planned their wedding for April of 2017.

We headed outdoors for their engagement session and were greeted with cool breezes and sunshine. Their pup Luna got in on the action as well! Congratulations, Cortney and Amir! I can’t wait to capture your gorgeous wedding day next year!
