Angela and Steven met when they began their graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Of course, the two had to exchange numbers in order to attend academic functions and study together. They spent quite a bit of time getting to know one another at student activities as friends. Angela threw a Halloween party, inviting Steven along with friends and family. Steven boldly arrived a whole hour early, offering to help Angela cook dinner for the party. Angela did not seem to notice that Steven’s offer to make dinner with her was really a ploy to spend time with her. It was Angela’s brother who pointed out the obvious at a Halloween party: “You know that guy Stephen likes you, right?”
