Mary + Bill | Romantic Wedding in the Texas Hill Country

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. KING!!! We have the same last name, so when they picked me to photograph their wedding, I knew it was meant to be! 😉 In all seriousness, I am so very honored Mary and Bill chose me to capture their day. Mary and Bill are a power couple: they are smart, driven, and charming. They planned an absolutely dreamy wedding that was incredibly beautiful to photograph!

The couple first met when they were students in Massachusetts, a meeting that would alter their future plans so they could remain together in the same city. Under the guise of celebrating Mary’s birthday and graduation from grad school, Bill planned a perfect proposal for Mary. They enjoyed a wintry weekend away on Lake Winnipesaukee, cozying up beside the fire in their room, soaking in the pretty views of the snow-covered lake. The snow continued to fall, blanketing the town of Meredith, New Hampshire. The two ventured out for a romantic evening at a winery followed by dinner. Bill led Mary into the quaint town, and there, beneath the Christmas lights, he proposed to Mary.

In great contrast to their snowy proposal, Mary and Bill married on a late spring day in Texas, a day full of sunshine, celebration, and dancefloor shenanigans! I LOVE that they planned a First Look—for many reasons—but when the weather is warm, it allows us ample time to go outside, go back inside and cool, and then head outside again. And their First Look was BEAUTIFUL. Mary and Bill are truly beautiful. The two married beneath stunning oak trees, and even headed back out for some sunset photos after cooling off for dinner.

The beautiful hill country was the perfect background for Mary and Bill’s classic and chic wedding. I LOVE the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, ranging in color from navy to dusty blue. Mary’s wedding dress was timeless—so elegant yet also made for a PARTY! Mary and Bill’s wedding was bursting with joyful energy, and they embraced every moment to its fullest.
