He was the cutie workin’ Pirates of the Carribbean ride. She was the charmer telling smashingly funny jokes over on the Jungle Safari Ride. They caught each other’s eye, and quickly began a Disney World whirlwind romance.
It was at Disney World where Scott proposed to Alli. He organized for all of their friends and family to be there to get in on the proposal action, and at the very place they met, Scott asked Alli to be his wife. At present, Alli and Scott are building their lives in Austin, Texas, where they both work as teachers.
I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Alli’s sister, Morgan last fall. It was an absolute dream working with their kind family, and I was embarrassingly over-excited when Alli and Scott picked me to photograph their day as well.
Not only do we have the teacher thing in common, but Alli and Scott are heading to Japan for their honeymoon!!! (Japan is where I met my husband and where we lived for three years!) It was pretty much meant to be. 😉
Alli and Scott’s day was 100% reflective of them. It was sunny and happy and easy and friendly, but it also had unique surprises throughout the day. From Scott’s dad’s amazing song during the mother song dance (holy moly he’s an amazing singer!!!) to the geometric bouquet holders for the bridesmaids, there were so many fun details and moments.
Alli and Scott DANCED down the aisle after they were pronounced husband and wife, and served their guests the sweetest cotton candy! Don’t even get me started on their style…. Alli and Scott are effortlessly chic—Alli was perfection in her BHLDN dress and Scott was so dapper in his perfectly fit green suit. The Flower Girl adorned the Chandelier of Gruene with giant centerpieces of greenery and fluffy white flowers. Their reception was inviting and romantic and FUN.
At the end of the night, when Alli and Scott made their exit through the sparklers, they suddenly turned around to face their friends and family. I was thinking, “What? What’d you forget? What happened?” Lol. It warmed my heart when Alli and Scott together shouted a resounding “Thank you” to their guests. It was such a thoughtful gesture to embrace gratitude in that moment.
I am so very grateful to have worked with Alli, her sister Morgan, and their husbands and whole families! They were incredibly welcoming and kind, and these sisters have STYLE. What an incredible joy it has been working with them. Congratulations, Alli and Scott! Have the very best time in Japan!
