It was Mississippi meets Minnesota when Kaitlyn and Nathan found one another via the online dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. They came to Houston for their jobs where Nathan is working as a landscape architect, designing outdoor spaces, while Kaitlyn is the social media specialist for Rice University.
Kaitlyn and Nathan immediately hit it off and chatted late into the night—so late, in fact, that at the end of the date, Nathan realized his car was towed! Kaitlyn felt so sorry for him that the next morning she took him first to breakfast, and then to pick up his vehicle. Word is, until Kaitlyn and Nathan became an official item, Nathan’s family referred to who as the “Towed-Car Girl.” Ha!
Although Kaitlyn and Nathan are not from Texas, they have seen a lot of it! They love camping and all sorts of outdoor adventure. It was Nathan who got Kaitlyn hooked on camping, even if their first experience camping at South Padre was a rough start! (All the sand!!) Now they love venturing around the U.S. with their pup Scout.
Kaitlyn and Nathan got engaged in Nathan’s home state of Minnesota. With a backdrop of Lake Superior, Nathan presented her with Kaitlyn’s grandmother’s ring.
The pair tied the knot at Pecan Springs Ranch, and the weather cooperated just perfectly for their outdoor event! Kaitlyn and Nathan had a simply romantic First Look—with the sweetest smiles and embraces. They wed in front of the fireplace adorned with greenery and combined with the overcast weather, the wedding felt perfect for November! Kaitlyn and Nathan soaked up every moment with their friends and family, and chatted and danced the night away.
Nathan and Kaitlyn, it is a joy to know you and I loved spending the day with you! It was gorgeous and sweet and warm. Congratulations!!!
