When Kori and Jai look at each other, their eyes sparkle. Huge smiles spread across their faces. Their chemistry is palpable. It is so very clear that they are head over heels smitten with one another. Kori and Jai both exude a quiet inner strength and confidence, a trait that undoubtedly led to their success as athletes.

Their story began when they were students at the University of Texas. They 100% bleed burnt orange!! Kori played softball for the Longhorns while Jai showed off his talent on the court while playing basketball for the Horns. He is currently an assistant coach for his alma mater, where he began coaching after playing three seasons professionally. Kori and Jai had their first date at Outback Steakhouse where they could not get enough of each other! They talked and laughed the night away! Jai asked Kori to be his wife at the Navy Pier in Chicago.

Kori and Jai wed at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas. While it was in August—in Texas!!—the clouds and breeze kept everyone relatively cool! Vista West Ranch’s gorgeous and well air-conditioned barn also provides a great respite from the summer heat!

Kori and Jai were surrounded by their loving friends and family. Kori’s gorgeous mom and cousin stood by her side, and Jai brought an entourage of well-known basketball coaches and players, including his own father and NBA legend, John Lucas II, and brother, NBA player, John Lucas III.  They danced the night away, smiles never leaving their faces. Congratulations, Kori and Jai!
