It was at Nutty Brown Café in Austin, Texas, where Christine and Michael caught each other’s eye. Their chance meeting was long overdue as the couple attended the same high school and had scores of mutual friends. Christine’s brother was even good friends with Michael! Perhaps the timing was just not right for them to meet in the past. Whatever the reason, once they finally did meet, they quickly connected. When Christine planned a surprise party for her brother (so sweet!), she obviously had to get Michael’s number, which ended up being an easy segue into them chatting and texting.
Christine and Michael talked about getting married, and actually planned to skip an engagement and simply elope. However, Michael decided to shake things up a bit when he formally proposed to Christine. They went through the list of options—elopement, destination wedding….—and finally decided to marry in Austin.
For their engagement session, we headed to my favorite park, only to be greeted with downpour. The unpredictable May weather took another turn, and we aimed to shoot under cover. The rain put a halt to our session, so we regrouped and headed to South Congress on another day.
Christine and Michael, you both are incredibly kind-hearted and such sweet people. I am so happy your paths finally crossed! Congratulations!
