Lindsey and Grant are possibly the ONLY Texans who can say that it was a snow storm that brought them together…while living in Texas! Heavy ice and snow shut down the Texas Christian University campus, leaving students stranded in their homes, and, obviously, pretty bored. Lindsey was honestly pretty content to relax at home, but her roommate persuaded her to head to a fraternity party to hang out with friends. It was at the fraternity house that Grant noticed the pretty and bubbly brunette, and struck up conversation with her. Their friends all decided to head to a different location, so it was natural that Lindsey would head with the group too. However, Grant believes Lindsey’s motivation for following the party was HIM. Either way, perhaps Lindsey sticking around gave Grant confidence to chat more with her and eventually ask her on their first date at the Austin Country Club, which is actually the very place they chose to get married!
To know Lindsey and Grant is to love them. Lindsey, a speech pathologist, has the perfect gentle demeanor for the children she will assist, and Grant is sharp as a tack and will go far with his pursuits in international communications.
Lindsey and Grant held a classic and elegant wedding with a reception at Austin Country Club and traditional ceremony at the Tarrytown Methodist Church. Lindsey’s relative, Pastor Brad, officiated, and I love how he focused in on smiles. He emphasized how important the people are in Lindsey and Grant’s lives how were smiling at them right at that moment as they married. He also focused on the smile and light Lindsey brings to those who know her. Lindsey and Grant purposefully live their lives with joy, and that joy spreads to their friends and family who love them so much.
Lindsey and Grant’s wedding included many special details, including a candy bar from Chatham Penny Candy, a candy shop they frequented when they were younger. Their guests loved the Moscow mules, and Lindsey’s choice of soft grays and lavenders for colors was beautiful and perfect for late spring!
Lindsey and Grant, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for having me capture your memories! It is an incredible joy to know you, and a true delight to photograph you on the happiest day of your lives! Congratulations!!
