Leslie + Emilio | Wedding at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs, Texas

When Leslie and Emilio went on their first date, Leslie wondered if it was actually a date at all! The two met at an event for the Hispanic Business Student Association at UT in Austin, and Emilio asked Leslie to get coffee together at the Spider House. While she spruced herself up accordingly, Emilio was sick with an awful cough and was up at campus all night studying for an exam. He went on their date in the most casual of clothes, and to top it off, his truck was in the repair shop, so Leslie had to pick him up. (It should be noted that Emilio can certainly clean up nicely! I was taking notes for my husband on where he got his European-style clothes!)

While Leslie was wondering if she was about to be friend-zoned, once their conversation at the Spider House began, the couple felt the sparks fly. The pair became completely enthralled with each other as they discussed their deepest hopes and wishes for their lives. At the end of the date, Emilio asked if Leslie would go on a second date, which solidified to Leslie, that what they had, just in fact, was a date!

In an amazing coincidence, Leslie and Emilio are my second couple to get engaged at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art! While I have not been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of my absolute favorite places in the world is the Tate Modern Museum in London. I LOVE that my couples also adore art! At the museum, Leslie requested that they head to the terrace outside for a view of the city. Once outside, Emilio took Leslie’s hands in his own and asked her to marry him. A security guard nearby took a photo for the couple, tears in his eyes.

Leslie and Emilio planned an elegant February wedding at Ma Maison. While the weather gave us a run for our money—a little chilly and a lot damp!!—Leslie and Emilio had a stunning First Look and portrait session at the green cathedral where they planned to marry. After their heartfelt ceremony, the rain drops grew in size, so we tucked away family and the bridal party while I hovered under umbrellas. Ma Maison offered a beautiful covered location for the photos. The rest of the night was jam packed with dancing, love, and laughter. Congratulations, Leslie and Emilio!!!
