Katie and Kevin met at Texas A&M when they both hung out with Katie’s neighbor. They went to a local bar frequented by students at A&M, and Kevin made his move: he asked Katie over for a barbecue the very next day.
The couple began dating, and Kevin planned his proposal to Katie on the anniversary of their first date. He took Katie to a romantic getaway in Rockport. He strongly encouraged Katie to get a new dress and get her nails done, all the while, trying very hard not to give the surprise away! He desperately wanted to propose to Katie on the beach at sunset, and he knew Katie would want her phone with her to capture the moment and then call her family. However, the sky looked ominous, and Katie thought it was not a good idea to bring all her belongings out in a potential downpour! She could not understand why Kevin kept insisting she bring it with her! Kevin did manage to pull off a perfectly romantic proposal that swept Katie off her feet!
We headed to New Braunfels where Kevin’s parents recently built a new house. As members of the neighborhood, Kevin’s family has access to a private park that leads out to the Guadalupe River. We found beautiful moss, trees, and stunning views of the river! It was the perfect location for their engagement session. I could not help but think about how this was a beautiful start to their lives together because after they are married, they will have many more memories to make at this beautiful river.
Katie and Kevin, thank you so much for having me capture your engagement session! I can’t wait for your wedding this fall!
