Sara and Brad met each other in the summer at Texas A&M. Sara and her friend Terry took an 8 a.m. political science class and followed it up with a speech class. In that speech class, they met a bearded guy, charming and cute. However, Sara thought he came across a little too cool for school. He was in the Corps and spoke of strict guidelines on dates—if he’s on a date with a girl and she gets her cell phone out, he’d leave! Sara and Terry thought, Oh, the girl who finds herself on a date with Brad! But they all became friends as the course went on. At the end of the course, they went out for celebratory drinks, and it was then that Brad learned Sara had a crush on him.
After a date that included dinner and a baseball game, the pair became inseparable. The couple took a romantic trip to Italy together. Brad wanted to make his proposal unforgettable, so he decided to do it in the Vatican. However, when he dropped down to one knee, Sara didn’t see him and thought she’d lost him! He quickly got her attention and asked her to be his wife.
Sara and Brad had a traditional Catholic wedding at Santa Cruz Catholic Church and followed it with a reception at Creekside Wedding Venue in Driftwood. The rain stayed away, and fog blanketed the hill country, adding to the winter look of their wedding. Sara and Brad, it was an honor to capture your beautiful day!
