Kathryn and Robert first met each other at a summertime Austin concert, Blues on the Green. They both noticed one another, and continued a friendship that year through the fall and winter. Robert made his move in January, asking Kathryn to go on a date with him to Peter Pan Mini Golf on Barton Springs Road. They bonded on the putting green, and Robert insisted that if he won, Kathryn would owe him a kiss. He did win, and when Kathryn felt the moment was right, the two had their first kiss that evening.
Robert planned a proposal at Kathryn’s parents’ home on Lake LBJ. Kathryn knew there was a fancy dinner planned, and she wondered if it might take place at that time, when they’d be all dressed up and among family. However, Robert caught her a bit off guard. They were in their clothes they’d worn out on the lake when he took her hand and led her for a walk down by the water. Walking down by the water is something they would normally do, so Kathryn thought nothing of it. However, when she saw rose petals and lights strewn about the rock path on the way down to the water, she definitely knew something was up!
Kathryn and Robert are so sweet and so easy going with each other. An ideal day for them is heading outdoors with Robert’s pup, Tex, and eating at Taco Cabana. They adore the outdoors, so we headed to a park for their engagement session. It was so fun getting to know them and see them have a blast with one another. Kathryn and Robert, I can’t wait for your wedding next summer!
