For Caitlyn and Ryan’s first date, they joined a group of their friends on a pub crawl. Ryan definitely put in a request to their mutual friends for Caitlyn to come, and when I asked why, he said, “Because she’s AWESOME.” Although they never paired up when they were students at Sam Houston, Ryan was impressed by Caitlyn’s endless energy, her positive attitude, and her ability to make conversation with even a wall. On the date, Caitlyn knew Ryan asked for her to come, and it took a little conversation and little bit of drinks for her to truly notice how charming he was.
When the two were chatting, Caitlyn noticed Ryan sneaking a little M&M from a candy jar at their table. She signaled that she wanted one as well, and as she leaned in for him to put one in her mouth, he planted a kiss on her! The move sealed the sweet deal, and the pair became inseparable.
Ryan’s proposal to Caitlyn was a nod to his smooth M&M moves, when he ordered M&M’s that stated “Will you marry me?” on them. He hid them, and waited for Caitlyn to finally see them and realize he was proposing.
For their engagement session, we headed to their wedding venue, the Creek Haus, which has gorgeous trees, tall grass, and a pretty creek. (I also love that Caitlyn used her hair and makeup trial with Kiss by Katie, and she was looking stunning!) For their session, they brought numbers to do a countdown because they are getting married on New Year’s! They also brought champagne. Ryan had to fly in from out of state for the session, so I love that they turned their engagement session into a fun and romantic date with one another.
Ryan and Caitlyn, thank you so much for having me capture your session! I can’t wait for your New Year’s Eve wedding!!
