High school sweethearts, Tara and Dylan, threw a classic celebration at Cathedral Oaks in Belton, Texas. If nothing else, you have to check out this wedding to see Tara’s Justin Alexander dress in the perfect shade of… PINK! It was the softest pink ball gown and blended seamlessly with her bridesmaids’ champagne colored gowns. The groomsmen were dapper in their black suits.
It was a formal affair held in the shade of the grand oak trees of Cathedral Oaks. Tara’s Uncle Robert officiated the ceremony, and following the ceremony, Tara and Dylan’s closest friends and family enjoyed “pop-tail hour,” where they drank sodas and munched on a variety of types of popcorn. (Obviously, I had to try each type!)
I love the romantic details Tara and Dylan planned. The florals consisted of blush keira and peach Juliet garden roses, white hydrangeas, ivory astilbe, all accented with light greenery. When Dylan proposed to Tara at Palo Duro Canyon, he presented her engagement ring in a pink Mrs. box. She may have dropped more than a few hints that she wanted that box, and I love that he bought it for her to make her happy. It was so fun incorporating her special box into her detail shots!
With the pairing of Tara and Dylan, it was dapper, confident coffee aficionado meets ambitious, classic beauty. They are both so genuine and kind, and their wedding truly reflected the close relationships they have with family and friends.
Congratulations, Tara and Dylan! It was an honor to take part in your day!
