Nicki and Jacob’s friends knew they were perfect for one another. The only problem? They lived in different towns, and in Texas that can mean you have to take a journey to meet up. Jacob traveled TWO HOURS to meet Nicki for their blind date. It was super low key, and they fell for on another as they chatted over dinner and a few games of pool (that Nicki won!).
Soon, Jacob transferred over to go to her school at Sam Houston. He says he made the change for academic reasons, but I wonder if Nicki may have had something to do with it. Nicki and Jacob are currently working on their master’s degrees: Nicki is obtaining an MBA and Jacob is getting a master’s in Animal Science.
Nicki and Jacob bring out an incredibly sweet side in one another, and it is also easy to see that they support and motivate one another. Nicki adores Jacob’s smile, and loves that Jacob is patient and kind. Jacob loves how Nicki accepts people for who they are.
Jacob actually had planned on proposing to Nicki in the mountains in Colorado. However, it was near the end of the academic semester, and Nicki was stressing about finishing up her studies. They went back and forth, and Nicki, not knowing about Jacob’s proposal plans, ultimately decided she needed to stay in Texas to wrap up her studies. Even though his plans of proposing in the mountains could not be followed through, he fulfilled his plan to propose by going to her apartment. He swept her off her feet with a romantic proposal. An elated Nicki finished up her work as quickly as she could, and the two headed to Colorado where they could celebrate their engagement together.
Nicki and Jacob planned a romantic wedding at Redbull Hall at Texas Old Town in Kyle, Texas. Congratulations, Nicki and Jacob! It was such an honor to capture your beautiful memories!
